At the end of the day, that’s really enough for me.” One that reaffirmed my love of record making. I never know how these things will land but I do know it was a truly beautiful process bringing these songs to life. It’s very personal in that sense, but at its core it’s about being willing to look back at your past without judgement and choosing to move forward. I’ve always tried to be completely honest about where I am in life and this record in a lot of ways is about getting older and making peace with my past and my place in the world. ![]() I wanted these songs to reflect that journey and some of what I’ve learned along the way. Turning 40, 15 years of marriage, and finally getting to say I’ve spent more than half my life making records and touring. I wrote and recorded Tilt knowing I was up against some milestones. “I’m really excited that this music is finally making its way into speakers other than my own,” shares McMahon.
